Involved with disabled sports since the 1970s, Jack
was a member of the US Adaptive Ski Team from 1979 to 1986 medaling
at the Paralympics. A retired military man, Jack was Director
of Disabled Skiing for the United State Ski & Snowboard Association
from 1989 to 1995 and a member of the United States Olympic Committee
from 1987 to 1989. From 1992 to 2000, he was the IPC Chairperson
of the Alpine Skiing Sports Assembly Executive Committee. Besides
his post as Chairman for alpine skiing, he was also the Representative
for Winter Sports on the IPC Executive Committee.
In 1996, CTAM of the Rocky Mountains launched
its support of the USAST through a fundraising event known as
SkiTAM. Susan has been involved with SkiTAM since its inception
as Social Chairperson and Administrator. President of Marketing
On Demand, Inc., Susan increased her interest in supporting the
team by joining the No Excuses board in 2007.
Chuck Ellis
Chuck started his career in sales and marketing with General Foods. He joined Group W Cable in 1982 and remained there until Westinghouse sold their cable business in 1986. He transitioned to Warner Cable through the merger which created Time Warner in 1992. He became Executive Vice President of Operations until 2002 when he was named Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. In addition to his professional roles, he was active in industry organizations serving on the Cable Advertising Bureau, Women in Cable and Telecommunications, CTAM and CTAM's Educational Foundation Board and co-chair of SkiTAM for a number of years. He is currently active in a number of charity and community service organizations including the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Fairfield County, Fairfield Young Life and Cancer Care of Connecticut. He is also deeply involved in the Appalachian Service Project.
Sandy Metzger, Program Director - USAST
Sandy started working
for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association in April 2001. Prior
to this, she was the events manager at Breckenridge Ski Resort.
In that position, Sandy was responsible for the inaugural Disabled
Alpine World Cup in the United States in 1999. Sandy has been
involved with Disabled Skiing since 1994. Currently, she resides
in Breckenridge with her three teenage sons.
Tygve Myhren, President
- Myhren Media Inc.
Mr. Myhren is president of Myhren Media, Inc. and Myhren Ventures, LP, private investment firms in Denver and Vail. In 2006, he served as Chief of Mission at the Winter Paralympic Games in Torino, Italy. Currently, Trygve serves as trustee of University of Denver and Denver Art Museum, on the board of Dreyfus Founders Funds and AdPay, Inc., the Advisory Board of American National Bank and the Colorado Forum. He is a past board member at JD Edwards, Verio, Turner Broadcasting, Peapod, Continental Cablevision, Citizen's Bank, R.I. Hospital and U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team Foundation. His posts in the corporate world included President of Providence Journal Company, Chairman/CEO of American Television & Communications Corporation, Chairman of the National Cable TV Association. He is a member of the Cable Hall of Fame and founder or co-founder of cable networks including Food Network, NW Cable News, E! Entertainment.
